God, summer came and went so fast it almost feels like I never had a vacation. Which is untrue. I had two. Lovely and warm, they were. And now it is autumn. In store at least. I do not know where to begin. Telling you about all the new and exciting things for fall. There is just too much of it. And I want it all…

Let me begin by telling you how much I adore Maison Martin Margiela for fall. I quess you have seen the shoes already online. They are selling like cupcakes in store too. Because they are perfect. Just perfect. There is something for everyone here. Not just the usual bunch of unusal ankle boots. We are talking major comeback in tall boots this season too. I love how Margielas knee-high boots have a wider shaft than other brands. It truly make a boot more elegant, I think. And the attitude of them all. Below is a very tall boot that have not hit the store yet. Although I personally love it in white as pictured, we decided to buy it in black for the store as the white will give the illusion of a thicker leg which many may not like. Is it not great?! Folded down even more so. I got to have this boot. Shearling being THE major trend and all this season.

Maison Martin Margiela does more in the category of good furry things. This fur scarf is yet another favourite of mine. Being made up from three different types of fur and slightly assymetrical, it can be worn on top of every coat, jacket or parka this season. I prefer it worn indoors though, as a scarf over a fancy dress or over a plain old tee and jeans. How about that for versibility!

Fall at Mrs H has alot to offer. On Monday Aug 16 all staff are back at work so expect daily blog entries and new arrivals online and in store on a very regular basis. You can count on it! More news to come then…

Took out an old but great cheetahprint trenchcoat from my wardrobe this week. Eley Kishimoto from 2003, if I remember correctly. I have seen that customers at Mrs H still use this trenchcoat from way back. It is a classic. At the moment I am not liking the traditional beige trenchcoat. It is too plain for spring 2010 and I definitely do not like it in a thin flimsy fabric. Traditional trenchcoats should otherwise be thick and kind of stiff to look expensive, is my opinion. Great ones can easily be found second hand like the ones from Hettermarks or Burberry. New ones I like are usually by Sonia Rykiel or Maison Martin Margiela. They can make them with a twist and they can look however they want.

My lipstick is MOrange by MAC by the way. A perfect fluro orange that is actually wearable if you blot it, that is. If you are not a spring chicken, always remember to blot your lipstick.

Some of these shoes styles, the sunglasses and the nude mohair sweater (all from Maison Martin Margiela) are now available at the Mrs H store in Stockholm and online thru www.shopmrsh.com. Shoe porn on a higher level I would say. How they have worked the leather-Mindblowing!

If you ask me, I think that Maison Martin Margielas spring collection out in store now, is as alluring as ever. I mean, look at this postcard t-shirt! Longing for a beach vacation anyone? Love that slashed, slightly tangled and knotted back as well. Brilliant!

A candy wrapped wallet? Yes, please and don´t get me started about the shoes. Want them all.

Hetsen. Först med det senaste. Nu är vi där igen. Leverantörerna säger att nu måste vi planera och köpa pre-fall 2010 fast vi bara har hunnit till fall 2009. Det är alltid lika svårt att sia ett år framåt när allt snurrar så fort. Helt plötsligt händer det något som får kunderna intresserade av något annat. Vi får chansa och lita till vår egen magkänsla. Är det här något som jag själv vill ha? Vill jag ha det om ett år-det är en annan femma. Det vet jag aldrig.

Skall vi tippa på att “den ultimata snyggbyxan“ står i fokus, “kjolen med tantlängd” blir trendigt bland de som vågar, “kavajen utan slag” är ett måste, “kjol över byxa” blir åter igen ett enkelt stylingknep, “stickat asymetrique” kör alla och “läderkorsetten a la Demeulemeester” är en ny accessoar att leka med. Det här är bara en reflektion baserad på två pre-fall kollektioner. Det kommer mer, mycket mer. Och det som slår-vem vet? Det enda jag känner mig helt säker på (och det har vi lågkonjunkturen att tacka för), det är att designerna anstränger sig extra mycket nu så att det mesta blir snyggt. Men vi kan inte köpa allt!
